Summer is a wonderful time to enjoy days by the pool and spend time with family. It is also a time when I like to reflect and do a mid year review.
I have never been a fan of new years resolutions. People generally think of resolutions and focus on things they need to fix. By its very definition, resolution is defined as “the act of finding an answer or solution to a problem.” It may be that a person wants to eat healthier, lose weight, or do better in school. Instead, I try to focus on my new years goals for the year. When summer comes around, I look back at the goals I had set and think about what has worked and where can I make changes so that the rest of the year lines up with those goals. I find that this mindset helps me get closer to accomplishing my goals.
Take the time to focus on your goals. Then look back at the first six months of the year and what you want the last six months to look like. What things worked and what didn’t? Finally, make the necessary adjustments to get you closer to reaching your goals. Make sure you reach big. Anything is possible!
