How Does YTeach Work?

Happy Monday!

Now that the new school year is up and running, we thought it would be a great time to answer any questions as to what YTeach is and how it works. YTeach is a peer-to-peer tutoring app that taps into the power of connection. Working together with schools, YTeach connects students to one another to build positive relationships and foster a network for learning.

YTeach provides students access to the extraordinary resources that are already available within their school. You can learn a new language, or pick up a few math pointers with the help of another student. Maybe you just want to schedule time weekly to go over your homework. A student merely needs to log in to their account and search for their subject of interest. The list of possible tutors, who have been pre-qualified in that subject area, gives them opportunities to find a peer that can help. The students can coordinate to meet that very day!

When you teach, you learn something twice. By teaching others something you’ve already mastered, you’ll gain confidence in your own abilities – and become a better student yourself. Tutoring is an awesome way to give back to your community, and receive community service hours in return for your time. You also become a stronger communicator while making a meaningful impact.

Finally, keep in mind that there is always room to grow. We wanted to provide a platform where everyone can participate. All students have something to offer. It is not just when you are struggling, but maybe you want to learn something new. The great thing is, that it is up to you!

For this week’s challenge, try thinking about ways that you can grow. Maybe you have always wanted to learn another language or strengthen your writing skills. The possibilities are endless!
